DISCIPLININARY ACTIONS

Coaches not showing up for scheduled practices without notifying their assistant coach and/or parents may be suspended for one game.  The Board will review and rule.

Coaches not attending 75% of all scheduled practices will not be eligible to coach any All Star team.

Any alcohol use during a game, practice or any league function will result in a one-year suspension.

Coaches/Parents/Fans must be responsible individuals.  Any individual found performing unethical conduct such as:

-Fighting

-Foul language

-Derogatory remarks and gestures made to umpires, coaches, and league officials

-Improper decorum in the dug outs or on the fields

-Cheating or fraud of any kind

-Destruction of league property

-Continued use of improper equipment or wearing of an improper uniform after being warned

-Malicious conduct of any kind

-Setting poor examples for their team

-Umpires will have full control of all situations pertaining to game situations.  The manager will be responsible for fan behavior.

Thus if a coach, player or fan is ejected from a game for any of the aforementioned violations, he/she must leave the playing field and the park complex immediately.  A coach, player, parent or fan can return to the park to pick up a player once the game is completed.  Failure to act accordingly will result in forfeiture of the game and suspension from the league for the rest of the season.  Additionally, the league may pursue criminal trespass charges if the police are requested to remove someone from the park.

In addition to the ejection from the game, the coach, player and/or fan will receive the following suspension and penalties:

-1st offense- suspension for the next team game

-2nd offense-suspension for one calendar week and the suspension of one game of the child of the coach, parent or guardian involved.

-3rd offense- suspension for the remaining of the calendar year.

If a manager or coach requires or forces his/her team to “quit” any official game due to a disagreement with a ruling on the field or a league official exercising its duty, that manager or coach will be immediately disqualified from participating as part of the coaching staff during the All-Star season and will be subject to the disciplinary actions described above.  Additionally that manager or coach will not be allowed to coach until the board reviews and rules.

If the offense occurs in the last game of the season, the prescribed suspension will be effective for the following season or the next season that the violator participates in.

These penalties are automatic and do not require ruling by a league official or a vote by the Board.  The coach, parent or player may appeal to the league President.  After investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the misconduct, the league President may overrule the prescribed suspension or continue with the necessary penalty.  The President’s decision can then be appealed to the Board where a majority vote must be obtained in order to alter the ruling.
